Das Team von Alabama war vom 15. bis 19.05.2023 in Hannover auf der LIGNA 2023, einer großen Fachmesse für die Forstindustrie, um den Staat Alabama für das Wachstum in diesem Bereich zu positionieren.
Als Weltleitmesse setzte die LIGNA unter dem Motto "MAKING MORE OUT OF WOOD" auch 2023 Maßstäbe.
Alabama bietet als Standort für Unternehmen der Holzindustrie eine Reihe attraktiver Vorteile. Dazu zählen reiche natürliche Ressourcen, eine günstige geografische Lage, eine hervorragende Infrastruktur sowie ein förderliches Geschäftsumfeld. Die Holzindustrie in Alabama ist ein wichtiger Wirtschaftszweig und hat in den letzten Jahren ein kontinuierliches Wachstum verzeichnet.
Die Holzindustrie in Alabama verfügt über die drittgrößten kommerziellen Holzflächen in den USA. Damit ist Alabama unter den Top 10 Herstellern von Zellstoff, Papier, Schnittholz und Holzplatten in den USA. Zweiter in der Zellstoffproduktion sowie in der Produktion von Papier und Pappe und Dritter in der Schnittholzproduktion.
Die Regierung und Industrieverbände unterstützen aktiv die Entwicklung und Förderung der Holzindustrie im Bundesstaat.

Alabama offers a number of attractive advantages as a location for companies in the timber industry. The timber industry in Alabama is a major industry and has experienced steady growth in recent years.
The wood industry in Alabama has the third largest commercial forest land in the U.S. This places ALABAMA among the top 10 producers of pulp, paper, lumber and wood panels in the U.S.. Second in pulp as well as paper and paperboard production and third in lumber production.
The government and industry associations actively support the development and promotion of the timber industry in the state.
